X-Ninja (Browser)
The premise is simple, get to the next screen as quickly as possible. Killing enemies will give you a time bonus, allowing them to escape gives you a time penalty. Don't take too long or the x-phantom will pay you a visit!
X-Ninja is a project I started with my 7-year-old son, Alex, to teach him the basics of programming and game design. The title and premise were his ideas, and we worked together on building levels and finding fun ways to make the game challenging; he was brimming with ideas! It's been a really fun little project to work on, and I think the game turned out much better than either of us expected.
If people enjoy the game and there's demand, we'll start working on Episode 2.
Keyboard controls

A gamepad is highly recommended, but the game can be played on keyboard!
Move = Arrow keys/WASD
Attack = X or Left click
Ninja Mode = C or Right Click
Ninja Star = Z, E or Middle Click
Run = Left Shift
Start/Confirm = Enter

Great game, with a very good presentation as well.
There are many design points that can be improved, both in game, level, or sound design.

needs better attack controls as laptops dont have a middle button and using the mouse at all is really awkward !
Good point, forgot about laptops.
What button would you suggest? I'm thinking 'E'
since arrow keys also work for movement ( my prefered choice ! ) i would use z x c as its the best ergonomic choice ... but if using wasd then j k l work as well - using e makes it too cramped around the direction controls for me ?

I have updated the game to add the z,x,c controls as well as updated the in game tutorial to reflect this.
Also fixed the annoying scroll when the arrow keys are pressed.
